  • | Smart emergency services solutions

The International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) is an organization that represents amateur radio operators in international forums such as the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). It advocates for access to frequency bands for amateur radio operators and promotes their contributions in technical, educational, and humanitarian domains.

Amateur radio operators play a vital role in emergencies, offering their skills and equipment to support official services, including civil protection, rescue services, and local authorities. They help restore or maintain essential radio communications, particularly when conventional networks are down.

The Union Royale Belge des Amateurs-Emetteurs / Koninklijke Unie van de Belgische Zendamateurs (UBA) is Belgium's representative in the IARU. Organized as a non-profit organization (NPO), the UBA coordinates and promotes amateur radio activities. The Belgium Emergency Amateur Radio Service (B-EARS), a branch of the UBA, comprises over 300 d
edicated members who volunteer their time and expertise to assist their fellow citizens through their passion for radio communications.
