Airbus provided the secure communications technology for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which took place at the beginning of December.

According to the company, race security teams and coordinators were supplied with TETRA TH9, TH1N and THR880i devices on site, as well as Airbus' radio console system. The latter is described as a “modern TETRA dispatching console for control rooms dispatchers to easily and quickly access communication features.”

Speaking of the roll-out, head of Middle East and North Africa region for Secure Land Communications at Airbus, Andrew Forbes, said:“The Formula 1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi is a major event, drawing in people from different parts of the region, and the world.

“We are proud to collaborate with security agencies. Our priority is to ensure smooth, effective, and secure communications for all personnel during such events.”
