TCCA online cyber security event

TCCA has announced a cyber security workshop taking place later in May.

According to information released by the organisation, the event “aims to discuss and understand the meaning of cyber security in the critical communications context, [identifying] areas for action, and [agreeing] the next steps to address them.”

Speakers include Mika Laitinen (TCCA Security Fraud and Prevention Group), Harald Lotku (Nødnett) and Anthony Leather (Westlands Advisory). The session will be chaired by TCCA Board vice chair/chair, TCCA Critical Communications Broadband Group, Tero Pesonen.

Speaking of the event, he said: “For communications to be truly mission critical, they need to be completely trusted, and that means being completely secure throughout.

“The need for cyber security spans the network layer, public safety and mobile operator layer, all the way to each end user activity. The cyber threat landscape evolves at ever increasing speed – joined, orchestrated, action is required to fight back.”

The workshop – which takes place May 19 - is open to both members and non-members of TCCA. To register, email with your name, company name and email address.
