Hytera partner signs 5G health agreement

08/07/2020

Thai operator TRUE has developed its partnership with Bangkok’s Siriraj hospital via a “5G network strategic cooperation” agreement.

According to a statement, Hytera has worked with TRUE to jointly develop an integrated PoC solution for the healthcare sector.

Speaking of the technology, a spokesperson for the company said: “Hytera provides a smart PoC solution, [providing] clear voice communication, video as well as visualised dispatch. The solution also supports push-to-talk and push-to-video through the TRUE 5G network.

“When an accident happens, real-time video [streaming] can transmit to doctors for consultation. The hospital can also coordinate in advance of the patient’s arrival.”

The spokesperson continued: “We believe this meaningful project can improve Thailand's local medical capacities. It will contribute to sustainable upgrading [the country’s] public healthcare sector in the future.”
