Motorola Swiss cable car roll-out
Motorola Solutions is providing Swiss telecommunications operator Swisscom with what it describes as “a next generation, 3GPP standards-compliant PTT solution.”
Speaking of the deployment, a spokesperson said: “Staff will rely on the new PTT service to communicate and share information in support of daily operations, such as patrolling slopes, as well as to managing critical rescue efforts in emergency situations. The company operates across 200 kilometers in the Matterhorn mountain area.”
Swisscom head of mission and business-critical communication, Fredy Portmann, said: “Communication is critical for business continuity and to address crisis situations. This new service gives our business customers the advantage of instant push-to-talk communication with a wide range of additional functionalities to connect and coordinate their teams.”
