Sepura wins Dutch police contract

Sepura’s Dutch partner Abiom has won all of the tenders recently issued by the country’s police to refresh its complete TETRA mobile and hand portable radio stock.
According to Sepura, the company has already deployed over 57,000 SC20 hand-portable terminals, as well as nearly 10,000 SRG3900 mobiles to police in the Netherlands. It has also been awarded the contract to supply over 400 ‘intrinsically safe’ radios, for use in hazardous environments.
Speaking of the agreement, regional director for north central Europe at Sepura, Gary Maughan, said: “We are delighted to continue our long-standing support to the Dutch police. We believe that the SC20 and SRG3900 radio terminals will provide exceptional service to their varied operational needs.
“Working in collaboration with our Dutch partner, Sepura’s solution closely matched each tender requirement with a user-friendly package. The radios share a common user interface, ensuring that we can offer our customers a seamless transition to their new devices while minimising officer training.”
