Ari Toivonen
Ari has over 20 years of experience from mission critical communications. Before his role as a Chief Specialist at Suomen Erillisverkot he was the Programme Director of the Virve 2 mission critical broadband programme, leading the programme from its early integration stages to the operational production phase.
Ari has held several roles over the years e.g. providing strategic and technical guidance on various aspects of the mission critical communications landscape including security, functionality, technology roadmap, user requirements and spectrum needs. Over the years Ari has also had an active role in several national and international working groups, including serving as a director and member of the TCCA board and as the chair of the TETRA user requirements working group at ETSI.
Ari holds a Master’s degree on telecommunications.
