Geir Ellingsen
Geir Ellingsen is a Special Adviser in the Department of Emergency Communications at the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB). He has a background from both the military and civil protection, and held the position as Civil Defence district commander for 12 years before joining DSB's headquarters.
Following a secondment as a national expert to DG ECHO, he worked in the Crisis Support Unit at the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security. He later returned to DSB, where he currently focuses on critical communications.
Geir is also active in the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) and a member of the UN Disaster Assessment and Coordination (UNDAC) system. He has participated in several international deployments.
