Jukka Vialen
Jukka has 32 years of experience in mobile communications industry. After graduation, the first 16 years he worked for Nokia Research Center and Nokia Networks in various roles including software development, project management, ETSI and 3GPP stardardization, line management etc. He joined Airbus in 2009 and focused first to TETRA interoperarability testing and certification, acting as Airbus delegate in TCCA Techical forum and leading the TCCA ISI working group. He soon joined also ETSI TETRA standardization where he has been the ETSI TC TCCE Vice Chair and WG3 Chair since 2013.
Jukka joined 3GPP SA6 in early 2017 and was first time elected to the Vice Chair position in Feb 2019. Since then he has been leading the mission critical work in SA6. He was re-elected to his 4th term as a Vice Chair in April 2025. In addition to the Vice Chair duties, he is also a rapporteur and an active contributor in the SA6 mission critical group.
Jukka holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology (currently Aalto University).
