Seong Ju Kang
Mr. Seong Ju KANG studied at Syracuse University and Pennsylvania State University for graduate-level and participated in executive training programs by Tsinghua University and KAIST.
He is a visiting Professor of Sejong University in Seoul, Korea and is leading new changes as the new representative chairman of the Korea Safe-Net forum. Since late 1980s he has served for Korean government in various policy areas including disaster management, digital government, and ICT at the Ministry of Government Affairs and Safety(MOGAHA), Ministry of Science and ICT(MSIT), etc.
During the period he was engaged in establishing the Korea Public Safety Network nationwide, and participated in OECD’s disaster management activities as a vice-chair of Public Governance Committee(PGC) such as High Level Risk Forum(HLRF) and Government At A Glance(GAAG). He has also drafted various ICT policy agenda including the Ubiquitous Korea Initiative(’95-’15) , and the Intelligent Korea Strategy(’16-’25), a comprehensive strategy for the 4th Industrial Revolution which covers AI, 5G, and government-wide policy coordination mechanism.
