Alan Seery is a former Board Director and Chairman of the Australasian Critical Communications Forum, a chapter of TCCA. He has over 30 years of global experience in the mobile radio industry starting with Ericsson in Sweden back in the mid-90s servicing the European, African and Middle Eastern markets. Alan then relocated to Sydney and work with various telecommunications carriers for years. A few years after moving to Perth, in 2010 Alan took on the role as Principal for Communications and Infrastructure at Rio Tinto and was instrumental in building the first private 4G network to support Rio Tinto’s autonomous aspirations After leaving Rio Tinto in 2016 Alan took on the role of CTO At OTOC which then transformed to Aqura Technologies – a leader in technology innovation focusing on private wireless and fibre technologies. Alan has recently returned to Rio Tinto and is assisting Rio in its transformation to 5G.
