Hans Petter Naper
Hans Petter Naper has worked with critical communications for 13 years, first as part of the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB) and now with Nkom. He earned his electronic engineering master's degree at NTNU, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and has been in the field of mobile telecommunications since the early 1990s. Naper has experience from both the industry and network operators. He spent 10 years in North American as well as ETSI and 3GPP committees creating mobile technology standards. As chief engineer, he has a central role in Nkom's team working on the broadband solution that shall eventually replace Norway's Nødnett TETRA public safety network. Naper represents Nkom in the TCCA Critical Communications Broadband Group and chairs the CCBG task force that recently delivered the specifications for an interoperable Mission Critical Broadband Callout service.
