Next-generation mission-critical networks take center stage for Ericsson at CCW and Eurosatory 2026

This week, Ericsson is showcasing the future of mission-critical networks at Critical Communications World (CCW) in London (June 16-18) and Eurosatory in Paris (June 15-19). From public safety to defense, Ericsson is highlighting how 4G/5G and sensing are transforming mission-critical operations across land, air, and digital domains at two of the industry’s most influential events.

At both events, Ericsson presents next-generation Mission Critical Networks built on 4G and 5G technologies, designed to deliver secure, resilient, and high-performance connectivity for public safety agencies, defense organizations, and critical infrastructure operators.

A central focus is network sensing, enabling networks to detect and interpret activity in the surrounding environment in real time, extending the role of connectivity beyond voice, video, and data transmission.

  • Public safety: Enhancing security at large-scale events through improved situational awareness and coordination
  • Defense: Detecting drones, monitoring movement, and enabling mobile surveillance without dedicated sensor infrastructure

These capabilities reflect a broader transformation: networks are becoming active contributors to operational intelligence rather than passive data carriers.

Across Ericsson’s presence at CCW and Eurosatory, visitors can explore how advanced connectivity and enhanced situational awareness enable a new era of operations, from coordinated emergency response in dense urban environments to data-driven decision-making across complex defense scenarios.

For public safety agencies, broadband connectivity enables first responders to access and share richer information in real time, supporting use cases such as live video streaming from incident scenes, cross-agency collaboration, and enhanced command-and-control.

For defense organizations, the ability to securely gather, share, and act on vast volumes of data across land, sea, air, space, and cyber domains delivers a decisive information advantage. In modern operations, this translates directly into faster, more accurate decision-making and improved mission outcomes.

“This week in London and Paris, we are having some of the most important conversations in our industry, with the people who protect lives and secure nations,” says Freddie Södergren, VP, Head of Mission Critical Networks and Defense, Business Area Networks at Ericsson. “The question is no longer whether mission-critical networks will move to mobile broadband. It is how fast and what becomes possible when they do.”

Ericsson’s leadership in mission-critical networks places the company in a strong position to support this transformation, working closely with customers and partners to deliver secure, scalable, and future-ready networks.

With extensive experience in secure mobile connectivity and a broad ecosystem of partners, Ericsson continues to support the development of mission-critical communications for an increasingly complex operational environment.

At both events, Ericsson will engage with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders on the continued evolution of mission-critical ecosystems, including the role of 5G, sensing, and open standards in addressing future operational requirements.
